Bike the Erie Canal
The Erie Canalway Bike Path streches across over 350 miles of upstate New York, from Buffalo to Albany. Most of the Erie Canal Trail uses gravel paths along the route of the Erie Canal, although some sections use local roads. The trail will take you across almost the entire state of New York, including through the cities of Rochester, Syracuse, and Utica, plus many small towns and beautiful New York countryside.

Bike the Empire State Trail
The Empire State Trail is a trail system spanning the state of New York from New York City to the Canadian border, as well as from Albany to Buffalo. At 750 miles, the Empire State Trail is the longest multi-use trail in the country. Some sections are on-road, but off-road trail resources are used as much as possible.
